About Wood Block Carving-Wood block carving, a cornerstone of Indian textile printing, involves hand-carved blocks known as buntas or bibal. Crafted from seasoned wood, these blocks were passed down generations. Traditionally, old blocks were immersed in rivers. Reduced demand threatens this craft, but the REKH Collection revives it, transforming these historic blocks into wearable art while preserving the skill, artistry, and heritage of Indian artisans.

The purpose behind this collection-The REKH Collection was created in collaboration with Shilp Guru Late Sardar Hussain and his sons from Chhipiwara, Uttar Pradesh. Hussain ji, a National Award-winning master artisan, perfected intricate Mughal carving techniques.
