No bland, dusty masalas here — just bold, honest flavours that taste like you meant it. Just a pinch (not a spoon!) of our spices is all it will take to take your meals from 'meh' to 'wow'! Salt Vault was born from a simple belief that real food deserves real ingredients. We started with the frustration of finding supermarket spices that were stale, bulk-processed, and loaded with fillers. Our journey began by sourcing top-grade whole spices directly from Indian farms and crushing them fresh in small batches, ensuring purity and bold flavour in every jar. As a small brand, our purpose is clear: to make everyday kitchen ingredients cleaner, fresher, and more inspiring, and to support honest farmers in every way possible. Our goal is to become the go-to spice brand for modern Indian kitchens, while supporting farmers, celebrating food culture, and helping people cook with heart, not just habit.

What is the manufacturing process?

The raw spices are sourced straight from farms. They are then cleaned and crushed in machines in small batches. All blends are made bimonthly to ensure peak freshness. 100% cleanliness is maintained, and there is no use of any chemicals to grow the raw spices or clean them in any way.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

Each blend uses a range of raw spices and lentils / seeds. Some of the common ones are cumin, coriander seeds, black pepper, cloves, cardamom, nutmeg, turmeric, sesame seeds, ginger powder, fennel, etc

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

All raw materials are sourced straight from the farms where they are grown. These are regenerative farms which don't use any chemicals for farming, except when absolutely essential.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

All the raw spices / blends are 100% natural. Quite some of them almost never get spoiled, but lose their oils over time. They can be composted. Most blends have long shelf lives as well. The packaging is either 100% resuable or can be recycled

Salt Vault was founded by Sonal Gupta, born out of a simple realization that most mass-market spices are bland and underwhelming. With a passion for strong aroma, rich flavour, and authentic cooking experiences, she built Salt Vault to source chemical-free spices and crush them fresh, bringing more character and depth to everyday meals for home chefs and food lovers alike.
