What is the manufacturing process?

It starts with harvesting the grasses (water reeds and rattan) and proper cleaning to ensure it is mud free. The grasses are dried for a duration of 2-3 weeks depending upon the weather for use. These dried grasses are then handwoven on molds or frames/ structures to make a desired product in the design, size and shape of the design. Instead of factory set up, we work on a cluster set up, where tools, materials are provided to artisans in the villages. the base product is then shipped to head office for final processing. Value additions such as locks, handles, branding etc are done at the head office

Water reeds, rattan sticks - self harvested and selected by artisans for weaving Premium cotton cords for adding design and color Natural leather handles sourced from a 40 year old manufacturer Wooden or metal locks - sourced from a leading supplier to bags manufacturing industry Metal structures - from factories where generations have done welding work

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

Wicker/ water reed etc are Harvested by selected artisans and distributed. Other raw material for designing are sourced through relevant vendors across India. We ensure that the vendor is reliable and offer good quality products and timely service.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes. All our products are multipurpose, so the use is limitless. It is made from 100% natural and plant based materials. Includes no plastic and thus can be composted by burying in the soil.
