At Solar Crafts studio, the essence of our brand lies in the celebration of individuality and craftsmanship. We are dedicated to creating exclusive, handcrafted terracotta and ceramic products that embody unique stories and artistic expression.
Q: What is the manufacturing process?
A: Our products are hand-shaped from clay on a potter’s wheel or by handbuilding, then dried and kiln-fired to turn them into durable ceramic pieces.
Q: What are the ingredients/materials you use?
A: We use natural clay and mineral-based ceramic materials, often with glazes suitable for decorative and functional pottery.
Q: How do you source your raw materials/ingredients?
A: Clay and ceramic materials are sourced locally or from regional suppliers who specialise in high-quality pottery clay and additives. (Typical for small pottery studios — exact site info not listed.)
Q: During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?
A: Ceramics aren’t compostable, but they’re long-lasting and reusable, and broken pieces can be repurposed in gardens, décor, or crafts.
Converting your thoughts and energy into something tangible is the best kind of feeling ever and this freedom was given to me by clay as a medium to express, explore and create. My name is Medha Manglik and I started Solar Crafts studio in 2016 as a college start up. I am a graduate from University of Delhi followed by masters in Ceramic from IICD,Jaipur.
