Jungle Bound - Brown Living™

Jungle Bound

Jungle Bound was founded by Pratiksha Shelke, a US-return mechanical engineer who left a successful automotive design career to protect the environment she deeply cares about. We transform reclaimed and repurposed wood into beautiful, functional products — giving scrap materials a second life and reducing deforestation. We also work with locally sourced bamboo, a fast-growing, renewable resource with a natural rustic charm. Our 3,000 sq. ft. manufacturing unit combines traditional craftsmanship with modern precision. Equipped with woodworking tools, CNC machines, and a skilled team of artisans, carpenters, and engineers — many of them hardworking women trained in multiple roles — we blend technology and art to create high-quality sustainable products. We design and manufacture eco-friendly corporate gifting items, home utility products, and accessories that help people and organizations lower their environmental footprint. We also partner with brands to make non-toxic, all-natural toys that inspire children to grow up with an eco-conscious mindset. Jungle Bound isn’t just about products — it’s about shaping a future where sustainability is the norm.

What is the manufacturing process?

Our manufacturing process begins with carefully hand-picking reclaimed wood and locally sourced bamboo, ensuring each material meets our quality and sustainability standards. All cutting and shaping are done in-house using precision woodworking tools and CNC machines for accuracy and consistency. Assembly, sanding, coloring, and finishing are carried out manually by our skilled team, combining craftsmanship with attention to detail to create products that are both durable and beautifully made.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

We use only sustainable, responsibly sourced materials in our products. Our reclaimed wood comes from discarded packaging, shipping pallets, and timber salvaged from old, demolished homes — giving each piece a unique history and preventing valuable resources from going to waste. We also work with locally sourced bamboo, a fast-growing and renewable material that offers strength, versatility, and natural charm, all while supporting local farmers and reducing environmental impact.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes. Our products are designed for long-term use and, at the end of their life, can often be repurposed for other functions at home — such as storage, décor, or DIY projects. Since we use natural, untreated or eco-friendly finished materials like reclaimed wood and bamboo, most items can also be safely composted or returned to the earth, leaving minimal environmental impact.
