We work with different Co-ops/ Organizations/ Individuals/ Women SHGs to create sustainable products and communities. Giving life to a fifty year old weavers co op for producing quality 100% Cotton handloom towels, Supporting a Women SHG with contract for manufacture of Herbal Handcrafted soaps, Supporting local artisans by marketing their products and creating own environment friendly products are all part of our activities.

We have created an impact in our village, by providing free educational tools for the past five years. We make this happen out of the profits earned from selling Grama products. Also, the lives of many artisans have been impacted. We have given life to Co-ops which were on the verge of closure.

What is the manufacturing process?

GRAMA products are handmade in small batches by village-based artisans and women's self-help groups using traditional methods. The process is gentle and manual to retain the natural qualities of ingredients.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

We use natural, biodegradable ingredients such as coconut oil, herbal powders and extracts, plant-based cleansers, and 100% cotton for textiles. Products are free from harsh chemicals.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

Raw materials are locally sourced from farmers, cooperatives, and trusted suppliers in Kerala, supporting local livelihoods and reducing environmental impact.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes. Most products are biodegradable and safe for the environment, while cotton textiles can be reused or upcycled. Packaging is largely paper-based and recyclable or compostable.

The Founders, Seema Soby Kurian & Soby Jose Kurian, are passionate about the heritage they have, the village they live, the cause they support, the nature they inhabit, and the things they do.
