Dhwani Choksi founded the brand in 2024 from the Canadian Arctic. Being far from India while staying closely connected to its craft traditions shaped a slower, more thoughtful approach to design. The brand creates modern, everyday clothing using natural and organic fabrics, works closely with Indian artisans, and treats sustainability as practical and evolving, never rigid.

We carefully source our raw materials from certified suppliers and artisan clusters that specialize in eco-friendly textiles. This approach helps us support traditional crafts while maintaining high standards of sustainability and quality.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Our garments are made primarily from biodegradable natural fabrics such as khadi, kala cotton, and organic cotton, which means they can return to the earth at the end of their life if disposed of responsibly. Many pieces can also be repurposed, for example, turned into tote bags, cushion covers, or cleaning cloths, extending their usability and reducing waste. We encourage customers to repair, upcycle, or compost our products whenever possible to give them a second life and support a circular approach to fashion.

I started Dhwani Choksi with a simple intention, to create clothing that feels effortless, looks timeless, and respects the world around us. From the beginning, I’ve been drawn to fabrics with a story: handwoven khadi, earthy kala cotton, soft organic cotton. I choose these materials because they’re kind to the planet and support the artisans who bring them to life. Every piece I design is made in small batches, with careful attention to detail, so it can stay in your wardrobe for years, not just a season. I want my clothes to flow from day to evening, work to leisure, always with an ease that matches how we live today. For me, fashion isn’t about rushing after trends, it’s about slowing down, appreciating craftsmanship, and wearing something that makes you feel both confident and connected.
