About Ekaltara

Q: What is the manufacturing process?

A: We use traditional handloom weaving techniques, where yarns are dyed and woven by skilled artisans to create authentic Ikat and other handloom textiles.

Q: What are the ingredients/materials you use?

A: Our products are made from natural fibres such as pure cotton, Ikat-woven cotton, and mulberry silk, chosen for comfort, quality and traditional appeal.

Q: How do you source your raw materials/ingredients?

A: Raw materials are sourced from artisan communities and local weaving clusters that specialise in handloom textiles and age-old dyeing/weaving traditions.

Q: During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

A: Yes — because our textiles are natural fibres (cotton and silk), they can be repurposed for home crafts and are biodegradable/compostable once worn out.
