What is the manufacturing process?

All our products are 100% handcrafted and hand-painted by skilled artisans from across India, each bringing unique cultural touches and traditional techniques. The process begins with designs inspired by Indian art forms and motifs, finalized in collaboration with artisans. We use locally sourced, sustainable materials like wood, clay, terracotta, metal, or jute—chosen for their authenticity and durability. The base is shaped or carved using regional methods such as woodwork, pottery, or metal embossing. Once formed, artisans hand-paint intricate designs using natural or non-toxic paints, often featuring styles like Madhubani, Pattachitra, or Warli. Each piece is then carefully finished, polished, and quality-checked to ensure lasting beauty while retaining its handmade charm.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

We use sustainable raw material from various parts of the country, such as Terracotta, Black Clay, Wood and Metal. Each product is then hand-painted with indigenous crafts by master craftsmen and craftswomen from 15 states in India.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

All our raw material is directly sources from artisans. Behind every product is an artisan who has poured their heart into preserving these art forms. We believe that their stories need to be heard - to reignite a love fir the traditions and cultures that are fading, and ensure these treasures aren’t lost to time.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Many of our products are made using natural, eco-friendly materials such as wood, clay, and metal, which are chosen not only for their beauty and cultural significance but also for their durability and low environmental impact. Depending on the specific product, some items can indeed be repurposed creatively at home. For products made with natural fibers and untreated materials, composting may be possible in small home composting setups, although we always recommend checking what’s suitable for your particular system. Metals and certain finishes may not be compostable, but they can often be upcycled or recycled. Ultimately, we encourage mindful use and repurposing wherever possible, and we’re continually exploring ways to make our collections even more sustainable. If you have a specific product in mind, we’d be happy to provide guidance on how to extend its life or dispose of it responsibly.
