Nutmeg Essential Oil - 10 mL

Nutmeg is a spice derived from the seeds of the nutmeg tree which is also known as Myristica fragrance which is a native Indonesian evergreen tree. It has a distinctive pungent fragrance and a warm slightly sweet taste.
Nutmeg oil has a number of health benefits that include the ability to relieve stress, pain, menstrual cramps, heart disorders, indigestion, balances blood pressure, cough, and bad breath.

It's medicinal properties such as its role as a sedative, stimulant, relaxing, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and bactericidal substance.

Nutmeg was believed to be effective against the plague and hence it was popular during the Elizabethan era.

Nutmeg oil is used in treating muscular and joint pain due to its excellent sedative properties. Nutmeg oil is anti-inflammatory, thus massaging it on the affected area is effective in the treatment and reduces swelling of the joints.

Nutmeg oil is useful in treating abdominal pain and inflammation. It is also used in relieving menstrual cramps, depression, hormone imbalance and mood swings.

Application:

• Skin: Add a few drops of Nutmeg oil to any carrier oil and massage onto face to reduce wrinkles.
• Teeth: Massage on teeth and gums to get rid of toothache and aching gums.
• Body: Add a few drops to bath water to relieve stress and calm down nerves.
• Home: Add 2-3 drops to water in a diffuser for maintaining freshness and insect free home.
