Product Information
  • A traditional Indian board game made from the finest elephant poo paper available in India.

  • Snakes and Ladders was inspired by a game called Moksha Patamu, played widely in ancient India. It was perhaps invented by Hindu spiritual leaders to teach children about the effects of good deeds against bad deeds. The Ladders represented virtues such as generosity, faith, etc and the Snakes represented vices such as lust, anger, etc. The moral of the game was that salvation (Moksha) can be attained with good deeds, while with evil deeds one is reborn in the lower forms of life (Patamu).

  • Upcycled, eco-friendly and a cool, quirky gift for your friends and family.
  • The colour and prints of the fabric may vary depending on the stock available.
