I was shown how to create the bags when they arrived. They deliver the raw substance, and I already had a machine. I produce 300 to 400 bags every day, and I make Rs 15,000 a month," Anita claims. They are pleasant colleagues. They assist me whenever I have a need, she continues.

Inspiration behind The Bamboo Bae
The inspiration behind The Bamboo Bae came from two travel enthusiasts, Anuj and Sanchit, who were deeply saddened by the sight of plastic waste while they were travelling. "We saw that nature was wrapped in plastic. From mountains to seas, wherever we went, we found plastic," says Sanchit. “We saw a thriving handicraft industry there. They even had utensils made out of bamboo. So we were inspired to make everyday items using bamboo, which would reduce plastic pollution,” adds Anuj.
Motivated to make a difference, they embarked on a journey to create a brand that not only offers sustainable bamboo products but also educates people about the importance of reducing plastic waste.
They discovered via their research that bamboo is a readily available and mouldable raw material. According to Sanchit, they discovered that bamboo is a very adaptable material. Speaking with the local craftspeople, they found how easily accessible it is around and how to process it before using it to make it antibacterial and antifungal.
