The Longpi Traditional Hampai With Base Centerpiece Soy Candle brings together the traditional form of the Hampai (pot) with the warmth of a handcrafted soy candle, creating a functional heirloom piece for contemporary homes.

Handcrafted from traditional Longpi black pottery, the Hampai is shaped by skilled artisans using serpentinite stone and weathered river clay. Made by hand without a pottery wheel or mould, each piece carries the distinctive texture, strength and character of Longpi craft from Ukhrul, Manipur.

The traditional Hampai form reflects the everyday craft and material culture of Tangkhul Naga homes. With a handcrafted base, it becomes a sculptural centerpiece that brings this living heritage into modern spaces.

Filled with plant-based soy wax, the candle is designed for a clean, consistent burn with minimal soot and no tunneling when cared for properly. After the candle is finished, the Longpi vessel and base can be cleaned and reused as a decor piece, planter, holder or keepsake.
