Product Information

This centrepiece brings together the beauty of Longpi black pottery and a plant-based soy wax candle. The bowl is handcrafted by Longpi artisans in Ukhrul, Manipur, using traditional methods and natural materials. Each piece carries its own natural variations in color, texture, shape, weight and finish.

Our Traditional Hampai (pot) design with base adds a quiet connection to our heritage, while the candle brings the piece into a contemporary home setting. We have spent time developing the candle to give a clean and consistent burn, with a focus on reducing tunneling and sooting.

Once the candle is finished, the Longpi bowl can be cleaned with warm water and mild soap and reused. We wanted the piece to be more than a candle that is used and discarded - a functional object that can continue to be part of your home.

Each piece is made with care, bringing together living craft, thoughtful design and a part of Tangkhul heritage.

Care instruction

Candle: Trim wick to 5 mm. First burn: let wax reach the edges. Burn max 3–4 hours. Never leave unattended. Keep away from children, pets and flammable items. Cool fully before handling.Longpi Black Pottery: Remove cooled wax gently. Clean with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Avoid harsh detergents, abrasives and sudden temperature changes. Rinse and dry well. Natural variations in color, texture, shape, weight and finish are unique to each piece.
