What is the manufacturing process?

Every URA Living piece begins with a mood board capturing colour, texture, and inspiration. This evolves into mind maps and keywords defining design elements. Ideas are hand-sketched, then digitised for precision. Final techniques - block print, digital print, embroidery, embellishment, or hand-painting, are chosen to suit each design. Samples are created under the founder's direct supervision, enabling faster future production. Feedback refines the final sample before costing is finalised. The collection then moves to photoshoots and packaging, reflecting the brand's elegance, before logistics complete the journey from idea to doorstep.

Fabrics- Cotton, wool, jute, linen, hemp, blends of cotton, blends of wool, blends of linen Embellishments- Zardozi beads, sequins, sugar beads, pipe like structures, etc Threads- Cotton, wool, jute only Dye- Azo free dyes, natural plant dyes

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

Our fabrics, cotton, wool, jute, linen, hemp, and their blends are carefully selected for quality and durability, paired with natural threads in cotton, wool, and jute. Colour comes from azo-free and natural, plant-based dyes. We work directly with artisans in Sanganer for our Adda embroidery featuring zardozi, beads, sequins, sugar beads, and pipe-like structures as well as block printing, allowing us to create custom designs; given the added cost, custom work is currently offered only for bulk B2B orders. In Bagru, we partner directly with artisans skilled in natural, plant-based dyeing as well as block printing.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

YES - Wall Tapestries: Frame a heavily textured or embroidered cushion cover, or hang a throw over a wooden dowel to create instant textile wall art. - Pet Bedding: Stuff a large, older cushion cover with fabric scraps to make a premium, breathable bed for a small dog or cat. - Tote Bags: Cut and sew a sturdy woven throw blanket or large cushion cover into a durable canvas-style tote bag or market shopper
