About Saag
Saag began as a humble woodworking endeavor in the basement of Dishant's home in 2016. Initially, Dishant would bring in old wooden items, refurbishing and repainting them with the support of Vidhi. What started as a small restoration project soon grew into something larger, as they expanded their skills to sanding and repainting bigger furniture pieces. As the demand for their work increased, Dishant sought additional support, engaging a freelance carpenter to help with production. Over time, this passion project took on a more structured form, leading to the employment of a full-time carpenter. This skilled artisan began crafting furniture pieces based on Dishant’s designs, laying the foundation for Saag's unique offerings. Today, Saag is a thriving team of five artisans and entrepreneurs, actively participating in exhibitions such as Craftroots and A Hundred Hands. Their reach has extended to online platforms, becoming an empaneled seller on Amazon, iTokri, and other marketplaces.
