About RebagCo.

RebagCo. - Brown Living™

It started with a question that wouldn't go away. Daksh Nahata had spent years as a visual designer - building things for other people, shaping identities for other brands. He was good at it. But somewhere between the briefs and the deliverables, a quieter thought kept surfacing: what would it look like to build something entirely his own? Not just a product. A point of view. The idea came together slowly, the way most real things do. It wasn't a single eureka moment - it was a series of small frustrations. The bags he liked cost more than they should. The ones he could afford didn't last. And the ones that claimed to be "responsible" alternatives? Most of them were just plastic with better branding. Polyurethane dressed up in green language. Petroleum calling itself progress. He started asking harder questions. About materials. About what fashion was actually built on. About what an upgrade - a real one - might look like. By 2026, that project became RebagCo.

Mission Statement

Design-led. Plant-based. Built to make the old way irrelevant.

Impact Created

We're pre-launch. So we'll be honest - the impact so far lives in the choices we made before selling a single bag. Every material decision, every certification, every standard built in before launch. That's where the work happened. The material RebagCo. is built on uses 93% less carbon and 97% less water than conventional leather. It's 98% bio-based, contains zero toxic chemicals, and is biodegradable - verified by PETA, USDA, REACH, and CalProp. Every product sold carries those numbers with it. We haven't sold a million bags yet. But the infrastructure to do it responsibly is already in place.

What is the manufacturing process?

We are manufacturing at a SEDEX compliant factory with all safety and ethical standards. Designing is in-house. We procure the material and then get them manufactured at our partnered units.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

Plant Derived Leather > Animal / PU Leather - Looks and feels like leather. But made with plants. - 98% Bio Based - 97% Reduction in Water Usage - 93% Reduction in Carbon Footprint - 0 Toxic chemicals - No Animals Harmed The exterior gets all the attention. But every component matters. Our linings use GRS-certified recycled materials - repurposed, not virgin plastic. Metal hardware is selected for longevity, not just aesthetics. Recycled plastic isn't the final answer - it's still plastic. But it reduces waste while we continue researching better natural alternatives. We'd rather be transparent about the journey than silent about the gaps.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We have vendors (directly from the manufacturers) that we have partnered with who provide us the outer materials. Rest of the materials are sourced by the manufacturing factory. Almost all materials are in compliance with recycling standard. Outer Material is PETA Vegan Approved Some Inner Materials are GRS Certified

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Outer material can be completely composted. Inner materials will not. We are working towars procuring bio - based inner materials as well. Aim is to achieve the best that we can and we are constantly researching.
