What is the manufacturing process?

MIRRI products are created through a small-batch, handcrafted process that focuses on preserving the natural integrity of botanical ingredients. Whole herbs, flowers, salts, teas, and citrus elements are carefully cleaned, dried, and blended in controlled batches to ensure consistency and freshness. Each blend is measured and mixed manually to maintain the balance of aroma, texture, and skin-loving properties. For bath teas, the botanicals are packed into recyclable packaging along with reusable muslin tea bags that allow users to steep the ingredients in their bath or facial steam. Our oils and body butters are also prepared in small batches using plant oils and butters that are gently blended to maintain their natural benefits. This slow production process allows us to prioritize quality, freshness, and thoughtful formulation over mass production.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

MIRRI products are formulated primarily with plant-based ingredients and whole botanicals. These include dried flowers such as calendula, chamomile, and rose; citrus peels like orange and lemon; aromatic herbs such as lemon balm and lemongrass; mineral salts including sea salt and Himalayan salt; and soothing elements like oats and tea leaves. Our oils and body butters are made with nourishing plant oils and butters such as fruit seed oils, apricot oil, and mango butter. In addition to botanicals, we use natural fabrics such as reusable muslin tea bags for steeping bath blends. All ingredients are selected for their skin-soothing, aromatic, and sensory qualities to create a relaxing bathing experience.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We source our raw materials through trusted botanical and cosmetic ingredient suppliers who specialize in herbs, dried flowers, salts, and plant oils suitable for skincare formulations. Priority is given to suppliers who provide good quality, food-grade or cosmetic-grade botanicals that are responsibly harvested and processed. Where possible, we choose ingredients that are minimally processed and naturally dried to preserve their aroma, color, and beneficial properties. Working with established suppliers also allows us to maintain consistent quality while ensuring traceability of our ingredients.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes. Many MIRRI products are designed to minimize waste and can be repurposed after use. Bath tea botanicals can be composted at home as they are made from natural plant materials such as herbs, flowers, citrus peels, oats, and teas. The reusable muslin tea bags included with our bath teas can be washed and reused multiple times for baths, herbal steams, or even loose tea brewing. Our packaging is designed to be recyclable wherever local recycling facilities are available. And what started in small batches at home grew into MIRRI.
