We partner with makers who follow low-waste, ethical, and non-toxic production practices. Each item is produced in small batches, ensuring attention to detail, quality, and consistency. Once the goods are crafted, we carry out our own quality checks — assessing finish, durability, hygiene, and packaging readiness — before they are released under the Kind of Earthy brand. By working closely with small-scale producers, we support local craftsmanship, reduce industrial footprint, and ensure that every product reflects our values of simplicity, sustainability, and thoughtful design.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

We work exclusively with natural, sustainable, and biodegradable materials. Our key materials include: Bamboo wood & bamboo pulp for toothbrushes, hairbrushes, and bathroom essentials Neem wood for combs and scalp massage tools Natural gourd loofahs (long and round varieties) Volcanic pumice stone for foot care Cotton and natural fibres where required Recyclable, plastic-free packaging materials All materials are selected for their renewability, durability, and minimal environmental footprint, ensuring every product aligns with our commitment to conscious, low-waste living.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We source our materials through trusted small-scale manufacturers and artisans who specialize in working with natural, renewable resources like bamboo, neem wood, and gourd. Each partner follows responsible, low-waste practices and avoids harmful chemicals in processing. Our selection process focuses on material authenticity, ethical production, and consistency in quality. We only procure finished goods from producers who meet our sustainability criteria, and every batch is further inspected by us before it becomes part of the Kind of Earthy range. This approach allows us to support local craftsmanship while ensuring that every product reflects our commitment to conscious, earth-friendly living.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes. Our products are designed to have a low-impact life cycle and can be repurposed or composted at home at the end of their use. Bamboo & Neem Wood Products: These can be repurposed for gardening, DIY crafts, or used as plant markers. After removing bristles (in case of toothbrushes), the handles can be composted or allowed to naturally biodegrade. Gourd Loofahs: Fully natural and chemical-free, they are home-compostable and break down easily in soil. They can also be repurposed as cleaning scrubbers before final disposal. Pumice Stones: While not compostable, they are extremely long-lasting and can be reused for cleaning or exfoliation for years, reducing overall waste. All our products are created to return to the earth with minimal impact, supporting a circular approach to everyday living.
