What is the manufacturing process?

At Kalaa, our products are made in small batches using hands and traditional methods rather than machines. We also take the help of women from nearby villages, creating livelihood opportunities while keeping the process personal and mindful. Each product is carefully measured, blended and poured by hand so that the natural ingredients retain their purity and effectiveness.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

At Kalaa, we believe skincare should begin with simple and honest ingredients. Our products are made using plant butters, natural clays, beeswax, arrowroot powder, essential oils and various skin-friendly oils. These ingredients are carefully chosen for their gentle and nourishing properties, ensuring our products remain natural, effective and suitable for everyday use.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We source our raw materials from trusted and established vendors across India. Many ingredients come from leading suppliers based in Delhi and Haryana, while others are sourced from smaller vendors and producers in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. This approach allows us to maintain quality while also supporting local businesses and traditional supply networks.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Many of our products are stored in sturdy glass jars that can easily be reused at home. Once the product is finished, these jars can be repurposed as spice containers, storage jars for dry ingredients, or for keeping small household items. We encourage customers to reuse them in creative ways so the packaging continues to be useful.
