Gygl & Grow was born from a parent’s search for chemical-free, skin-safe extended playwear for children. Frustrated by toxic dyes and scratchy fabrics, we set out to build an intentional brand that treats a child's skin with absolute care. By partnering exclusively with GOTS and OEKO-TEX certified mills, we craft tagless, premium organic cotton essentials that protect against irritations while supporting fair-wage, ethical livelihoods. From natural sunshine play to our upcoming artisan-woven handloom denim, every piece we make blends clinical skin safety, circular low-waste design, and pure childhood joy.

What are the causes you support?
Non-toxic (No Toxic Chemicals Used)
What is the manufacturing process?
Sourcing & Spinning: We source raw, 100% organic cotton from GOTS-certified farms free of synthetic pesticides, spinning it into high-grade combed yarns in audited, toxin-free facilities. Knitting & Processing: Yarns are knit into breathable fabrics. We completely eliminate chemical shortcuts, utilizing only non-toxic, organic softeners and OEKO-TEX approved eco-dyes. Precision Cutting: Fabrics undergo precise mechanical cutting using optimized structural templates designed to strictly minimize textile scrap and material waste. Skin-First Stitching: Cut panels are assembled with natural threads using flat, non-chafing seams. We omit scratchy neck labels, utilizing a clean, tagless printed layout instead. Quality Control: Every batch undergoes strict needle detection and forensic visual auditing to guarantee safety before packaging.
What are the ingredients/materials you use?
We explicitly ban synthetic polymers, heavy metals, and endocrine-disrupting chemicals. We use only pure, certified ingredients optimized for sensitive skin: 100% GOTS-Certified Organic Cotton: Our primary ingredient. Grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, this pure cellulosic fiber is highly breathable, naturally hypoallergenic, and perfect for active, high-sweat play. Premium Bamboo-Cotton Blend: Used in our thermal-regulating layers. It combines the structural strength of organic cotton with the silky, anti-bacterial softness of bamboo viscose to protect skin in cold AC environments. OEKO-TEX Approved Eco-Dyes: We use only non-toxic, safe water-based pigments and AZO-free dyes that guarantee zero heavy metal or chemical residues remain on the finished fabric.
How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?
We partner exclusively with verified, tier-1 garment manufacturers who manage the complete supply chain under strict certification protocols. Our manufacturers directly source raw fibers from GOTS-certified organic agricultural farms and handle the milling in audited facilities. All processing agents and eco-dyes are pre-vetted to comply with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 rules. This allows us to guarantee absolute trace-level chemical safety from crop to final garment without middlemen.
During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?
Yes. Because we reject synthetic polyester blends, our core garments are designed with a clean, circular lifecycle. Home Composting: Our essentials are built using 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton and natural threads. Free from plastic polymers and toxic chemical residues, the pure fabric base can be safely shredded and composted at home. It naturally biodegrades in a home compost bin within 3 to 5 months without leaching toxins into the soil. Radical Honesty: Any tiny functional components—like the elastic waistbands on select pieces—must simply be snipped away before composting. Repurposing: Built for durability, our garments are meant for multi-child hand-me-downs. At the end of its life, the hyper-absorbent, chemical-free nature of our combed cotton makes it perfect to be repurposed at home as scratch-free kitchen cleaning cloths or utility rags.
