What is the manufacturing process?

EcoDecor® products are manufactured using a proprietary low-energy Eco-Core process based on plant-derived Processed Plant Starch. The prepared plant-based material is conditioned and structurally formed through controlled mechanical processes, followed by natural drying and stabilization. The process is designed to be near-net and low waste, minimizing material loss and eliminating the need for high-energy operations such as kilns, metal melting, resin curing, or glass moulding. Because the process involves no combustion and no chemical hardening, air emissions are significantly lower than conventional décor manufacturing, with reduced particulate matter and gaseous pollutants. The result is a lightweight and durable product manufactured through a cleaner, low-energy process with reduced cradle-to-gate environmental impact.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

Our products are made from Processed Plant Starch, a completely plant-based material developed as a responsible alternative to conventional décor materials such as ceramic, glass, porcelain, wood, and stone. The starch is typically derived from agricultural biomass or agro-waste from crops such as corn, sugarcane, cassava, and potato. A lignin-rich plant base is blended with plant-derived pigments and binders to achieve a variety of finishes and textures. For wood-like finishes, we incorporate sawdust or powdered tree branches, allowing natural wood aesthetics without cutting down a single tree. No coatings or surface finishes are applied. We never use any animal-derived materials, making EcoDecor® products fully plant-based and cruelty-free.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We source primary plant-based raw material in prepared batches imported from suppliers in the US, Europe, and Australia. The material is certified to RoHS and EN 13432 standards, ensuring responsible composition and environmental safety. The imported material is supplied as a prepared mix, which is dried and conditioned before entering manufacturing. Residual binders, finishing elements, and pigments are locally sourced within India to reduce transportation impact and overall carbon footprint. We prioritize traceability, consistent quality, and responsible sourcing practices. This approach combines internationally certified base materials with localized supply chains for environmentally responsible production.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Soil to Soil is the natural lifecycle followed by our products. Made from plant-based Processed Plant Starch derived from agricultural biomass, the material is designed to return to the earth in a manner similar to the agro-waste from which it originates. Our products are designed for long service life and can be repurposed for storage or other household uses, extending product life and reducing waste. At end of life, the lignocellulosic & starch-based material can gradually biodegrade over time through natural microbial activity under suitable environmental conditions, including adequate heat, sustained moisture, oxygen availability, and active microbial presence, breaking down into natural organic constituents without persistent synthetic residues. Also leaves 0 residue if thermally dissociated or incinerated. Unlike glass, ceramic, porcelain, or plastics, Our products are designed to return safely to the earth, helping reduce long-term landfill accumulation of decorative waste.
