What is the manufacturing process?

Our products are sourced and developed in collaboration with Indian manufacturers and small-scale suppliers specialising in eco-conscious stationery and gifting. Depending on the product, processes include handmade paper making, seed embedding, paper conversion, moulding and product assembly. Materials are selected with an emphasis on functionality, durability and reduced environmental impact. Products are finished, quality-checked and prepared for retail and bulk gifting. Wherever applicable, plantable components are designed to be returned to soil after use, giving the product an additional purpose beyond its primary lifecycle.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

We use materials such as handmade and recycled paper, plantable seed paper, wheat straw-based paper, natural cork, wood, graphite, seeds, paper-based stationery components, natural growing medium and recyclable or reusable packaging materials. Material selection varies by product, with a focus on reducing unnecessary plastic and incorporating renewable, recycled, reusable or plantable alternatives wherever practically possible.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We source our materials and finished components from Indian manufacturers, artisans and small-scale suppliers based on the requirements of each product. We prioritise materials such as handmade and recycled paper, seed paper, wheat straw-based paper, cork, wood, seeds and paper-based components. While selecting suppliers and materials, we focus on functionality, quality, reduced plastic use and the incorporation of renewable, recycled, reusable or plantable alternatives wherever feasible. We aim to continuously improve our sourcing practices as the brand grows.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Several of our products are designed to have a useful life beyond their original purpose. Plantable seed paper covers and seed-bearing components from selected pencils, pens and crayons can be planted in soil after use and nurtured to grow under suitable conditions. Handmade and paper-based components can be reused for crafts or appropriately recycled where facilities are available. Cork products are durable and can be reused for décor and gifting, while our mini planter kits encourage continued growing and reuse. Compostability depends on the specific material, so we encourage customers to separate different components and dispose of or repurpose them appropriately.
