When co-founder Mini Menon struggled with severe auto-immune disorders Vitiligo and Alopecia in her teen years, the harsh treatments left her skin and scalp damaged. She found lasting solutions not in quick fixes, but in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and observational wisdom for over last 30 years. Together with her best friend and co-founder, Uday Sankar, she transformed this experience into a purpose-driven brand dedicated to creating authentic, effective self-care rituals.

The brand traces its roots to the journey of its co-founder, Mini, who struggled with persistent skin and hair concerns despite trying numerous conventional solutions. What began as a personal quest soon evolved into a deeper exploration of Ayurveda, traditional wellness practices, and the healing wisdom that generations before us trusted. Every formulation is developed with a singular purpose: to create products that are effective, honest, and deeply connected to India's rich wellness heritage. Aham Roots follows a hands-on co-manufacturing approach. The founders actively participate in every stage of production—from sourcing fresh herbs and natural ingredients to overseeing formulation, quality control, and packaging. Sustainability for us is not a marketing claim; it is a conscious choice. What is the manufacturing process?

At Aham Roots, we believe that true wellness begins with integrity at every stage of creation. While our products are manufactured at the GMP-certified Aashirvad Ayurveda Pharmacy in Coimbatore, our approach goes far beyond conventional contract manufacturing. We follow a collaborative co-manufacturing model, where our founding team is actively involved throughout the entire product journey—from sourcing raw materials to the final packaged product. 1. Thoughtful Ingredient Sourcing 2. Formulation & Product Development: We work closely with Ayurvedic experts and manufacturing partners to ensure every ingredient serves a meaningful purpose. 3. GMP-Certified Manufacturing facility adhering to stringent quality and hygiene standards. 4. Active Quality Control 5. Conscious Packaging: We continuously seek packaging solutions that reduce environmental impact while preserving product quality.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

Thoughtful Ingredient Sourcing We carefully identify and procure high-quality herbs, botanicals, oils, and natural ingredients from trusted growers and suppliers. Wherever possible, we prioritize fresh, traditionally valued ingredients that align with Ayurvedic wisdom and sustainable practices. We also involve local women self-help groups in the Kerala/Coimbatore region to procure fresh herbs and botanicals.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes, mostly. We manufacture personal care products without any synthetic chemicals or preservatives. We have only powder and oil-based products which are environment-friendly and packaged in glass.
