About 2512 PacchisBarah

2512 PacchisBarah - Brown Living™

PacchisBarah was born from a simple idea passed down through generations: that the things we own should be valued, cared for, and made to last. Named after the birth dates of our founder's parents and grandmother (25-12), the brand is rooted in Indian values of simplicity, resourcefulness, and mindful living. Inspired by a childhood where clothes were bought only when needed, repaired, and repurposed instead of discarded, PacchisBarah exists to challenge the culture of overconsumption. Through GOTS-certified textiles, transparent manufacturing, and timeless capsule wardrobe essentials, we are building a future where fashion is measured not by how much we buy, but by how long we wear.

Mission Statement

Creating timeless essentials that inspire owning fewer, better garments.

Impact Created

Since our launch, PacchisBarah has sold over 500 GOTS-certified T-shirts, encouraging consumers to choose quality over quantity and embrace mindful consumption. Beyond the products, we are building a growing community that believes fashion can be a force for climate action, promoting conscious purchasing, longer garment lifecycles, and responsible choices that help reduce textile waste and environmental impact.

What is the manufacturing process?

Our T-shirts begin with GOTS-certified organic cotton sourced from certified farms in Madhya Pradesh. The cotton is processed into yarn, knitted into fabric, and manufactured entirely within GOTS-certified facility in Tamil Nadu that follow strict environmental and social standards. We prioritise durable embroidery over conventional prints to extend product life, and all fabric offcuts generated during production are diverted to recycling units to minimise waste and landfill.

What are the ingredients/materials you use?

We primarily use 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton, GOTS-certified embroidery threads, and responsibly sourced trims. To minimise unnecessary textile waste, each garment features only a single cotton canvas label, eliminating multiple woven labels. Instead of adding separate wash care and composition labels, we provide these details on our recyclable kraft hang tag, reducing material consumption while maintaining complete product transparency. Every component is carefully selected for its quality, durability, lower environmental impact, and contribution to a longer product lifecycle.

How do you source your raw materials/ ingredients?

We source our organic cotton directly from GOTS-certified farms and work exclusively with certified suppliers, mills, and manufacturing partners. This ensures complete traceability across the supply chain while maintaining high environmental standards, responsible chemical management, and ethical working conditions.

During its life and beyond, can your products be repurposed or composted at home?

Yes. Our garments are intentionally designed for long-term use and multiple seasons, encouraging repair, reuse, and extended wear. Once they reach the end of their usable life, they can be repurposed into household textiles such as storage bags, and because they are made primarily from natural fibres, they can also be composted at home after removing any non-biodegradable components where applicable.
